BS Varnish - Protection and Sealing

Use and Benefits: Global Prefer® BS Varnish is a quickly drying paint for the fire protection coating Global Prefer® BS Timber. The Global Prefer® BS Varnish dries colorless and matt. The coating is meant to protect a surface treated with BS Timber from mechanical load and humidity and to improve the optical impression of the surface.

Preparation: The surfaces must be free of dirt, separating particles and dry.
Observe VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures), part C, DIN 18 363, paragraph 3.
In each case either way, test the suitability on an unobtrusive spot.

Application: Stir well before use.
Global Prefer® BS Varnish can be processed as delivered. Global Prefer® BS Varnish is applied by means of coating, rolling or squirting. Dilution: If required, the fertility of the Global Prefer® BS Varnish can be increased by means of PVC or nitro thinners (observe the specification).

Note: The thinner added to set the viscosity should not exceed 10%. If too much thinner is added, the quality may be reduced.

Permanent effect: If processed appropriately, the coating can be effective for many years.

Important Note:
Drying: 
bone dry after 40 minutes (+10°C), 20 minutes (+20°C), 9 minutes (+35°C)
touchproof after 60 minutes (+10°C), 30 minutes (+20°C), 15 minutes (+35°C)
hardened after 4 hours (+10°C), 90 minutes (+20°C), 30 minutes (+35°C)

Air:             min.: + 8°C - max.: +35°C
Object:       min.: + 8°C - max.: +35°C
Varnish:     min.: + 10°C - max.: +35°C


Specifications:

Storage and Service Life:		Storable for at least 12 months as of the delivery date, if locked in original packaging unit. Seal opened packaging unit well. Protect from chill and direct sunlight.
Storage Temperature:		+8°C till +25°C
Environmental Impact:		Do not use it at temperatures below +8°C.
Packaging Sizes:		1000 ml spray flasks, 5 and 10 liter jerry cans; other sizes of trading unit on request.
