Dual Graffiti A+B – Protection and Sealing

Use and Benefits: Global Prefer® Dual Graffiti A+B is a diluted semi-durable system for protection against and removing of graffiti on mineral, absorbent subsurfaces, such as sandstone, concrete, etc.
Because it is a diluted system without solvents, there will not be any harmful vapors, and hence no danger for human beings and environment.

Preparation: The subsurface must be clean, dry, grease-free and free from loose parts as well as from parting substances.

Application of impregnation Global Prefer® Dual Graffiti A: Apply the impregnation with a paint roller or brush two times wet on the subsurface. The subsurface will have been saturated when a thin liquid coat of the impregnation remains on the surface. The drying period before applying the bat wash layer (Global Prefer Dual Graffiti B) accounts for 4-10 hours depending on the outdoor temperature and humidity.

Application of impregnation Global Prefer® Dual Graffiti B: Apply the bat layer with a short piled paint roller. The subsurface must be covered once completely. The consumption is approx. 100 ml per sqm. In case of low consumption, a second application after short interim drying will be necessary (approx. 10-20 minutes, depending on the subsurfaces and ambient temperature).
The graffiti protection effect will be completely effective after 24 hours.

Important Notes Suitable subsurfaces: Natural stones (sandstone, travertine, granite etc.), building materials (concrete, clinker, lime sand bricks and unpainted mineral plaster based on lime hydrate).

Not suitable subsurfaces: Paint, varnished surfaces, synthetics, enamel and metal.

Removing graffiti: You may remove graffiti paint with a commercially available hot water pressure washer (setting: 90 °C [boiler temperature: >120°C], 2-10 bar). Recommended settings: 2-10 bar pressure (depending on the material surface) and +90°C with the steam jet nozzle or flat soft nozzle top and the lowest pressure setting with the pump. Start and heat the device until a steam/water mixture exits from the nozzle. Direct the nozzle slopingly from a distance of 20-40 cm towards the Graffiti and slowly peal the graffiti off after they have been heated shortly. The removing is independent from the kind of graffiti paint and is based on the functioning of the impregnation in combination with the parting layer. Latter one softens under high temperature, whereby the subsurface will be withdrawn from the graffiti paint. The graffiti will not be etched or dissolved, and hence constitutes a solid substance that may be easily removed and disposed of.

New graffiti protection after removing of graffiti: Only the parting layer Global Prefer Dual Graffiti B needs to be applied again after the removing of the graffiti (as described earlier). The impregnation Global Prefer Dual Graffiti B remains in the depth of the subsurfaces if gentle conditions for removing are observed, and only needs to be refreshed after several removing procedures.

Cleaning of Tools: Tools, paint brush and equipment may be cleaned with water.
