Plastic Sealing – Protection and Sealing

Use and Benefits: Global Prefer Plastic Sealing is a temporary alcohol-based coating based on nanotechnology, which generates an easy-to-clean effect on synthetic surfaces (Polyester, PMMA, and PC). The rubbed-on material generates a thin coat on the surface, which reduces the adherence of staining and foreign material and better rolls off water. Coated surfaces are particularly easy to clean.

Preparation: Free the surface thoroughly from dirty, oily and greasy staining. We recommend Global Prefer A-Z Cleaner. Rinse with plenty of water afterwards. The surfaces must be clean, dry and grease-free prior to coating. Test the application on an unobtrusive spot or sample surface.

Important: Do not touch the surface by hand after cleaning. Immediately start refinement after cleaning. Do not mechanically or chemically clean the surface for at least 2 hours after refinement.

Application: Use the Global Prefer AP Cloth TOP 1 to furbish the coating onto the surface. Economically spray the material on the surface and then distribute with circling movements on the clean surface. The applied quantity is about 10-25 ml per sqm.

The applied material needs at least 15-30 minutes to dry. The easy-to-clean effect emerges about 30 minutes after furbishing. If humidity is high, allow for a longer hardening time (up to few hours).

Quality check: Water should form drops on the entire surface, but not an even film. If the temporary easy-to-clean effect weakens, refresh the application following the instructions of the first time treatment.

Important notes: Cleaning the treated surfaces: Staining of any kind does not adhere strictly to the coating; aggressive cleaning products (very acidic or basic products, abrasive milk) are thus not required. If roll-off effect weakens, clean the surface with a sponge or mild detergent (i.e. Global Prefer A-Z Cleaner). The coating still requires the frequent cleaning of the surface.
